Signs It Is Time to Quit Your Job

Many of us have bad days, this article is for those who are constantly dissatisfied. A bad day or irritation with your manager or co-workers does it mean you should actually quit is a different level of a question. However, consistent days of frustration means it is time to make a list. If you fall into 3 or more categories below, it is time to review your position and career aspirations.

  • You have plateaued: no room for advancement
  • Your job is impacting your health
  • Constant issues with your direct boss
  • Culture issues
  • Procrastination
  • Your attitude is negative (which is a change)
  • You vent all the time to family and friends
  • Dread going in every day

Evaluating how long there’s been issues with work and identifying what you are dissatisfied with can help determine whether you’re stuck in a rut or if it’s time to move on. Once you have the list, figure out if the problems are fixable, and start outlining any potential resolutions to improve your job satisfaction. If that doesn’t seem possible, you may want to start looking for another job.
